Hello!

My name is Roque do Carmo Amorim Neto, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #165050). I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC #1745621).

If you are wondering how to pronounce my first name, it is pronounced “Hawk.” Don’t worry, it gets easier after the first try!

After earning my doctorate in Educational Leadership, I spent years as a professor and administrator in teacher preparation programs. During that time, I discovered that my greatest fulfillment came from supporting others in their personal growth. That insight led me to earn a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University in June 2026.

I am currently employed by Hearts and Hands Counseling in Roseville, California, where I practice under the clinical supervision of Courtney Brain (LMFT #114283) and Roy Bettencourt (LMFT #110220).
