Back to school!

As I’m about to complete another orbit around the sun, I’m excited to announce that I’ll return to school in the fall to pursue my dream of becoming a therapist.

For years, I felt drawn to the field of psychology and counseling. But it was my experience as an immigrant that opened my eyes to the importance of mental health. Adapting to a new culture, navigating unfamiliar systems, and expanding one’s identity can be overwhelming.

Returning to school as a working adult is scary. As the Dean at Fortune, I’m committed to meeting the demands of the job with excellence. But I believe in the power of pursuing a dream. I’m also convinced that my unique experiences can help those going through similar challenges. In a world where mental health issues are becoming more prevalent, I want to be part of the solution.

Becoming a therapist is a way to make a positive impact on the world. For this reason, I’m excited to share that I’ll be documenting my journey towards becoming a therapist through my blog. I hope my posts will encourage others to pursue their passion, no matter big or small.

Palo Alto University, here I come!
