This week I am attending my very first residency as part of the Counseling program.

Residency is an intensive program designed to deepen our theoretical knowledge and to hone our practical counseling skills. The days ahead promise a rigorous yet rewarding schedule, filled with workshops and role-playing sessions.
The excitement I feel about this residency goes beyond the academic and professional realms. Up until now, my interaction with my cohort and faculty has been confined to virtual classrooms, texts, and emails. While these interactions have been valuable, they pale in comparison to the prospect of finally meeting them in person. In this sense, residency gives us the opportunity to solidify bonds, to transform virtual connections into real-world relationships, and to create a supportive community that will last a lifetime.
Next week, I will return from this residency with new insights and a few stories to share. I look forward to reflecting on this experience and sharing my journey with you.
I will see you next week!
