Last week, I shared some exciting news on the blog. After graduation, I will be continuing my work at Hearts and Hands Counseling. One of the main reasons behind that decision is their mission to provide accessible, compassionate care to a wide range of individuals in our community. That commitment is something they practice every day.
I want to build on that by inviting you to be part of this work.

As part of the upcoming Big Day of Giving, Hearts and Hands Counseling is raising funds to continue strengthening and supporting our community through healing. This is a cause that directly impacts real people, including individuals, couples, and families who might otherwise go without the support they need.
Since 2010, Hearts and Hands Counseling has offered low-cost, compassionate mental health services, including individual counseling for adults and children, couples counseling, family therapy, group counseling, and workshops. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale, helping ensure that individuals who cannot afford even the lowest fee still have access to care.
At the same time, Hearts and Hands plays an important role in training and mentoring future therapists, equipping them with the skills and experience needed to meet the growing demand for mental health care. Many of these clinicians go on to continue serving the same community, extending the impact of this work well beyond the counseling room.
The need for mental health services continues to grow, while funding remains limited. Community support helps close that gap. A donation of any size can make a difference. It helps ensure that someone who is struggling can access care.
If this mission resonates with you, I invite you to consider making a donation as part of this year’s Big Day of Giving: https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/story/akwdhf
Thank you for considering how you might support this work.
I will see you next week.
